Group Study Exchange (GSE) 2009

Rotary Districts

Japan 2650 -- West Virginia 7530
Community leaders learning about other countries.

Between March 16, 2009 until April 18, 2009 a team of  professionals from West Virginia - District 7530 will participate in a goodwill exchange with District 2650. Our team will visit the Japanese prefecture of Kyoto, Nara, Fukui and Shiga.

We are looking for young people 25-40, employed full time in a recognized business or profession, and live or work within the boundaries of District 7530 (Northern West Virginia). The team leader is a Rotarian but the team  members are not.

The purpose of the group is to promote international understanding and goodwill through person-to-person contact. They will stay in Rotarian's homes and have the opportunity to meet their professional counterparts. They will give presentations to Rotary clubs and other groups about their home country.

The Rotary Foundation provides a round-trip air ticket and local Rotarians in the host country provide meals, lodging and group travel in their district. (Teem members pay for personal and incidental expenses.)

Contact Stephen H Maxwell for more information (Clarksburg).
