What are the application procedures, and regulations?

.It is best for students to apply through the local club first. All scholarship recipients must be endorsed by a local club, and be assigned a sponsoring Rotarian. .The final packet of application materials for the Ambassadorial Scholar chosen to represent the District must be forwarded to RI by October 1, 2010
.Scholars choose five schools (no more than two in one country) at which they would like to study
.RI makes the final study institution assignment based on many factors, including availability of local RI support, and the student’s academic background
.Selected scholars must attend an RI-sponsored Outbound Scholars Orientation session before departure
.Students may study in any country in which there is a Rotary club; in some cases, students may need to receive intensive language training
.Students are required to give presentations to clubs while abroad, and upon return
